April 20th, 2009 - Lunch with Lama Kejang

CedarBough went to UCLA. I cleaned the house. I went to Trader Joe's and bought some food and drink and flowers because today a friend came to my home to meet us for the first time. His name is Kejang, he's a lama and my father's good friend. He is my father's good friend in Tibet. In 1982 Kejang went to India and met the Dalai Lama and he worked for 20 years with HH. In 2002 Kejang moved to the United States. I came to the United States in 2007 and sometimes I call Tibet and talk to my father. First he asks me about my life. Second he always asks me about Kejang. But I don't have a lot of information because I don't have time to go to San Francisco to see him. I just called him sometimes. But today Kejang came to my home and CedarBough made good food for us. Kejang said very good food, she looks like a professional cook. CedarBough gave him flowers and I gave him a katak. He is 72 years old. But he is still very smart and looks very young. CedarBough talked to his friend. Kejang really wanted to look at relatives photos in Tibet. Yes, I had a lot of photos from Tibet, then I showed him a lot of photos. He was very happy to see my photos. Also he likes to watch VCDs from Tibet. He really wanted to watch VCDs from Tibet, so I gave him some VCDs and my present. When Kejang listened to my CD he said "your voice sounds like your father. When I was young I listened to your father's singing a lot." Kejang wanted to read some of my books, so I gave some books to him. He was so happy to meet us and we took some photos. After three hours he and his friend left.
